Description:
he winery was founded in 1874 by French immigrant, Jean Laurent, who named it Laurent Winery. Bruce Markham purchased it in 1977, and renamed it Markham Vineyards. In 1988 under new ownership, the winery began a multi-million dollar renovation and expansion around the original stone cellar that Laurent had built. Through all of the changes, the winery never stopped operating, making Markham the fourth oldest continuously operating winery in Napa County. The contemporary Visitor Center offers great wine gifts, and our art gallery features quarterly artist exhibitions.
